Prevent Human Brucellosis by means of livestock vaccination

Brucellosis is a zoonosis. It affects mainly animals, but it can also cause a severe disease in people. Usually human infection takes place by consumption of contaminated food. Brucella abortus and Brucella melitensis are the most common bacteria strain isolated both in human and animal brucellosis. Vaccination of the livestock population is the most valuable tool to control and prevent this disease. For more information please see the enclosed brochure.
